Pastoral Support Worker
ROLE PURPOSE:
To support the Head of Year in promoting the learning, well-being, behaviour and attendance of all students in the year group, ensuring equity of opportunity and high standards of conduct. The post holder will play a key role in delivering pastoral care, supporting behaviour systems, and acting as a point of contact for students and families.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pastoral Support:
Support the Head of Year in the day-to-day pastoral management of the year group
Build positive relationships with students to support their well-being, engagement and progress
Support the implementation of the school’s behaviour policy, addressing issues proactively and consistently
Provide early intervention for students experiencing social, emotional or behavioural difficulties
Liaise with internal and external agencies where appropriate to support students
Attendance and Behaviour:
Monitor attendance, identifying trends and students of concern
Conduct attendance welfare calls to parents/carers
Support attendance improvement strategies alongside the Head of Year
Assist in behaviour monitoring, including pastoral on-call support and follow-up actions
Gather, collate and record statements relating to behaviour incidents and investigations
Maintain accurate behaviour records in line with school systems and policies
Student Monitoring and Safeguarding:
Support safeguarding procedures by logging and reporting concerns in line with school policy
Monitor vulnerable students and contribute to su
