Hours: 13 hours per week, including 10 teaching hours and attendance at a weekly staff meeting
Working pattern: Ideally 3 half days per week, although 2 days may be considered for the right candidate
Salary: Competitive, pro-rated from the full-time salary
Curriculum: Pearson Edexcel International A Level Chemistry
Class sizes: Very small classes, with the Chemistry group usually expected to be around 3-6 students
For candidates who are able to teach an additional subject, such as Biology, or who could contribute to the wider school in another meaningful way, there may be scope to discuss the possibility of a full-time contract.
School contextThe Learn Academy is a small, close-knit school for students aged 16–19 in central Barcelona. We offer the British Curriculum to an international student body and are looking for teachers who enjoy working in a warm, caring and academically focused environment. With small classes and a collaborative team, teachers are able to know their students well, tailor their teaching and make a real difference to both confidence and academic progress.
About the roleWe are seeking an excellent Part-Time A Level Chemistry Teacher to join us for the 2026–27 academic year. The successful candidate will teach Pearson Edexcel International A Level Chemistry to students aged 16–19. Teaching hours will be blocked together, ideally across three half days per week, although two days may be considered for the right candidate.
We are looking for someone warm, organised, academically ambitious and committed to helping students achieve their personal best.
