About the Role
As an Occupational Therapist, you will manage your own caseload and work closely with learners, families and colleagues across the wider multidisciplinary team. You will deliver evidence-based, person-centred assessments and interventions that support learners to maximise their independence and life opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting occupational therapy assessments and interventions that support learner outcomes.
Working collaboratively with physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, positive behaviour support teams, tutors and learning support assistants.
Supporting learners to identify and achieve meaningful occupational goals.
Providing specialist occupational therapy advice, guidance and training.
Undertaking risk assessments and implementing appropriate risk management strategies.
Contributing to quality improvement and clinical governance activities.
Maintaining high professional standards in line with HCPC and RCOT guidance.
What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist who:
Holds a Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
Is HCPC registered.
Is a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).
Has excellent communication, interpersonal and report-writing skills.
Has strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills.
Has demonstrable experience in working within multidisciplinary and partnership-based environments.
Has experience of using personal care and postural care equipment.
Has a strong knowledge of safeguarding and has the ability to manage safeguarding concerns professionally.
