Job Description
In liaison with, and under guidance from the Head of Performing Arts Academy, plan and teach lessons and units of work in Middle School and Senior School.
Work with the Head of Performing Arts to lead on the school’s choir programme and CCA that meet the needs and interests of students across the whole school.
Enhance the quality of teaching and learning in Music and across the wider school through sharing resources and good practice.
A strong commitment to coordinating and contributing to music events & activities organized by Performing Arts Academy.
Ensure that safeguarding, health and safety, and all other College policies are known, understood and embedded into practice.
Be responsible for planning and facilitating creative and engaging learning with students, in a nurturing and safe environment.
Ensure that the learning environment is a place of full inclusivity, differentiating learning to support individual needs.
Planning collaboratively, in the context of FCG Senior and Middle School curriculum, to build on student knowledge and expertise and emphasize connections between curriculum areas.
Assess students learning and progress on an ongoing basis and use assessments to inform planning.
Fill in Orders and Reports in accordance with guidelines.
Have a keen focus on the approaches to learning taken by students, creating an engaging learning environment where they can learn independently, challenge their own thinking, think creatively and solve problems.
Develop excellent relationships with parents and the wider community, through effective communication.
Have and develop further a range of techniques to cater for English Language Learners.
Challenge each student to be the best they can be, supporting them to reach their full potential.
Be committed to the ongoing development of a holistic, student-centred curriculum, drawing on best practice from around the world.
