The salary will be £16.00 per hour including holiday pay. Closing Date: 9 am 31 August 2026 This role is for someone who will drive our school minibuses safely and reliably on morning and/or evening runs, ensuring pupils arrive and leave school comfortably and on time. You will join the transport team on a part-time, ad hoc basis (typically 06:30–08:30 and/or 17:30–19:30 Monday to Friday) and must hold the appropriate D1/PCV entitlement. What you'll be doing Drive school minibuses on scheduled morning and evening routes and for local transportation requirements. Put pupil safety, comfort and welfare first at all times while transporting students to and from school. Complete visual vehicle checks before and after each use and report any maintenance needs promptly. Keep vehicles clean and hand any lost property to the Sports Centre manager. Refuel vehicles as required and maintain an accurate log of trips, incidents and delays. Follow all statutory and school regulations for driving school vehicles and use any route/pupil logging or tracking system provided. Work within Health and Safety guidelines and attend required training (for example, Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme and first-aid training where agreed). Be professional and courteous when interacting with pupils, parents and members of the public. Any other duties as directed by your line manager. What we're looking for Essential Current, clean and valid driving entitlement: D1 unrestricted/PCV licence or D1 restricted (car licence obtained prior to 01/01/1997).
