About this role

Mental Health & Well-Being Lead Salary: £29,125 - £32,567 (FTE £32,940 - £36,833) Working hours – 37 hours per week; specifically · Monday – Thursday: 8am – 4pm · Friday: 8am – 3.30pm Are you interested in developing your skills and knowledge in supporting students within our Wellbeing team? Our Mental Health & Wellbeing Lead offers you the chance to work with our Student Support team, to specialize and train in supporting young people’s mental health and well-being for students across the school. Any additional training required for the role will be fully funded, and we have access to fully accredited courses that can be completed alongside your working hours. We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and committed person with good communication skills to join a friendly, supportive and ambitious department which has been developed to provided highly effective provision, support and care for our students. As a school we continue to strive to provide the best outcomes for all our students. As such we will be able to support the successful candidate in the following ways Role purpose · Developing effective mental health and well-being processes to support students in the school · To support effective safeguarding by the becoming a member of the schools DSL team, linked to a specific year group · The successful candidate will be line managed by the Well-Being Centre Manager Delivery & Liaison · Lead on support by providing appropriate and effective strategies to support children with mental health concerns and other needs identified by the schools SLT, WBC (Well-Being Centre) manager, HoY and/or HoF. · Develop and deliver strategic initiatives to support individuals and groups of students with mental health concerns; this might include workshops such as ‘managing anxiety in school’, ‘exam stress management’, ‘exercising for good mental health’. · Lead on the student Well-Being Ambassador programme · Engage in the school assembly programme, prom
