Angel Meadow School is an independent special school for pupils aged 11–16 with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), opening in 2026 in Salford.
Designed as a small, high-support setting, the school will provide a calm, structured and ambitious environment for pupils with a range of needs including ADHD, autism, dyslexia and moderate learning difficulties, alongside SEMH.
As part of the Angel Meadow School Group, and alongside our established alternative provision Ace Education Manchester, the school is built on strong foundations with experienced leadership and a clear vision from day one.
The Role
You will deliver Maths across KS3 and KS4 to small groups of pupils, supporting them to build confidence, develop core numeracy skills and achieve meaningful qualifications.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping Maths provision within a growing specialist school.
You will:
Deliver engaging and inclusive Maths lessons tailored to pupils with SEND and SEMH
Teach Functional Skills and GCSE pathways where appropriate
Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of needs, including ADHD, autism and dyslexia
Use practical, visual and structured approaches to support engagement
Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to personalise learning
Track pupil progress across both academic and personal development
Contribute to EHCP targets and review processes
Maintain a calm, consistent and supportive learning environment
