About this role
An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen within our successful and well-established Mathematics Department for an experienced and ambitious teacher of maths. As Key Stage Lead, you will teach students from Year 7 to Year 11, and for a suitably qualified candidate there may also be the opportunity to teach A Level Mathematics within our Sixth Form College.
This role is ideal for an ambitious and talented mathematician who wishes to join a high-performing department and work alongside highly motivated pupils and dedicated colleagues. This is a full-time, permanent position that will further strengthen the leadership capacity and expertise within an already thriving Mathematics team.
As a member of the departmental leadership team, you will work closely with the Head of Mathematics to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning, and that the curriculum effectively meets the needs of all learners. Leadership roles within the department are allocated based on individual strengths, expertise and professional experience, with flexibility to lead on a range of development areas across all key stages. Initially, we are seeking a candidate with strong academic credibility to lead Key Stage 3, but the role may change in the future; to respond to the changing needs of the department.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an excellent and committed teacher to take the next step in their leadership journey. The role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on student outcomes, contribute to strategic departmental development, and provide a strong foundation for future progression to Head of Mathematics and, in time, Senior Leadership.
