Lower School Boarding Houseparent Start Date: 1 September 2026 Fixed Term Contract: 1 Year Based on 1.0 FTE £39,000 0.76923 FTE – £29,999.37 Plus, rent-free accommodation Hours per week: 48 Weeks per year: 40 Immediate line manager: Deputy Head Pastoral Job purpose: The Lower School Boarding Houseparent provides pastoral care for boarding pupils beyond the academic day. They are responsible for creating a homely environment in which each boarding pupil feels cared for, understood and at ease. An environment where each child can have fun, at the same time learning how to interact with peers and with adults. This is a non-teaching post with no timetabled lessons. The Houseparent provides day-to-day leadership and are ‘in loco parentis’ care, working in close partnership with pastoral and academic colleagues and the pupil’s day Hm’s.
