We are seeking an experienced Level 7 qualified Access Arrangements Coordinator & Specialist Assessor to lead and coordinate exam access arrangements and reasonable adjustments for students aged 16–25 across both mainstream college provision and a specialist SEND provision for learners with complex needs. As a specialist assessor, you will support students who wish to better understand their needs by offering diagnostic assessments and you will work closely with our SENCO.
The role includes:
• Conducting specialist assessments for exam access arrangements and maintaining a register of AA entitlements
• Coordinating and processing JCQ-compliant access arrangements
• Advising staff on reasonable adjustments, JCQ regulations and inclusive practice
• Supporting learners across vocational, academic and Preparation for Adulthood pathways
• Working closely with families and professionals to ensure students receive appropriate support
• Contributing to a culture of aspiration, inclusion and high expectations
We are looking for someone who:
• Holds a Level 7 qualification in Access Arrangements Assessment and is registered with an appropriate professional body
• Has strong knowledge of JCQ regulations and SEND legislation
• Is highly organised, empathetic and student-centred
• Can build positive relationships with young people, staff and families
• Believes passionately in inclusive education and student potential
