Location: Halesowen College, West Midlands
The College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and qualified part-time teacher for A Level Media Studies. The ideal candidate will be passionate, enthusiastic and will 7 have experience of teaching A Level Media, with delivery of the Eduqas specification being an advantage; an academic background is Film is also extremely desirable. Excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to support our students to reach their academic potential are also essential qualities. The successful candidate will have the digital skills to enhance teaching, learning and assessment and be fully invested in continuing to update their pedagogy through ongoing CPD. As we are always thinking about preparing our students for life beyond college, a candidate with links to creative industries would be desirable.
The department boasts well-equipped digital video production facilities, including an industry-standard television studio and a dedicated podcasting setup.
This is a fractional post (FTE 0.4). The pro rata salary for this post is £11,138 - £17,945 per annum.
