Lead Teacher of History - TLR2B

We are seeking to appoint an experienced teacher to assist the department as a Lead Teacher of History. The post holder will provide a meaningful contribution to the raising of student attainment and be instrumental in securing the vision for the future. The Lead Teacher of History will be responsible for aspects of History teaching and learning throughout the Academy. This involves the support of a range of staff teams. The post holder will promote high quality in all aspects of the work of teams by maintaining high expectations. This role would suit an experienced teacher of wishing to develop their experience and curriculum management skills. The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner and be enthusiastic about promoting best practice in the development of students. They will be responsible for the development and review of policy and practice. This will involve the establishment of clear principles, aims and objectives for the subject within the context of the Academy's objectives, policies and development plans. We are seeking an individual who is able to demonstrate clear views on how to promote the subject across the academy and propose clear strategies as to how standards can be raised. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with staff teams are essential in order to provide the best opportunities for students.
