Job overview
Part-time role including:
between 3 and 6 teaching periods per week
1 hour of student support or cover per week
time for lesson preparation, marking, collaborative work, meetings, events and school projects
Role and main responsibilities
Teaching Latin at secondary school level
Organising and collaborating on departmental events
Preparing, coordinating and planning the curriculum with departmental colleagues
Integrating digital tools into lessons
Implementing teaching programmes tailored to each level
Analyse assessment results with a view to adapting teaching
Develop annual lesson plans to cover the entire curriculum, in line with the standards of the Winston Churchill International School
Lead cross-curricular projects
Understand UK child protection regulations and implement protection procedures
Integrate the school’s mission and values into the classroom
Maintain student records: attendance, assessment, lesson plans, communication with families
Participate in parent-teacher meetings, class councils and school-wide projects (including open days)
Profile
CAPES, agrégation (French teaching qualifications) or equivalent level of qualification
Knowledge of the new French baccalaureate curriculum and the latest recommendations in the teaching of ancient languages and culture
