About this role
Hours: 30 hours per week, 8:30am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday. Attendance at INSET days and Open Mornings is required, along with a requirement for some weekend and evening work during term time.
Salary: £15,966.46 per annum pro-rata inclusive of holiday pay (£28,225.60 FTE)
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only (35 weeks per year)
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to become a Kitchen Assistant in the catering department at St George’s Junior School. You will provide assistance to the Chef Manager and the Catering team in all aspects of catering delivery, including the preparation and service of the salad bar (every other week).
You will possess a strong work ethic, be proactive, and have a calm and composed disposition to manage the demands of this role. Experience of working within a busy team or on an individual basis is an advantage for this position.
You will have experience of working with appropriate cleanliness, food hygiene and health and safety standards within a kitchen and storage setting, whilst maintaining accurate and up to date records for inspection purposes.
