About this role
We are looking for a passionate and organized KG Coordinator to lead our Early Years department at the Umm Al Quwain campus. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of early childhood development and a proven track record of creating a nurturing, play-based learning environment that fosters student growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesEYFS/KG Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the Kindergarten department, ensuring a safe, engaging, and high-quality learning environment for our youngest learners.
Curriculum Implementation: Tailor and monitor the delivery of the Early Years curriculum, focusing on phonics, numeracy, social-emotional development, and motor skills.
Teacher Mentorship: Provide hands-on support to KG teachers and assistants through lesson observations, feedback, and modeling best practices in early years pedagogy.
Parent Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for KG parents, addressing inquiries and organizing workshops to involve families in their child’s learning journey.
Assessment & Tracking: Manage the "Learning Journeys" or progress portfolios for students, ensuring that developmental milestones are tracked and reported accurately.
Transition Management: Coordinate the transition process for students moving from KG to Primary (Grade 1) to ensure continuity in their educational experience.
equirements & QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field. A Cache Level 5 diploma or equivalent leadership qualification is highly desirable.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Early Years setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or coordinator role.
Skills:
Expertise in play-based learning and early years developmental stages.
Strong organizational skills to manage schedules, events, and resources.
Patient, empathetic, and professional communication style.
Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
