About this role
The Kindergarten teacher will work in collaboration with the assistant and Head of Kindergarten (HOK) to ensure a nurturing and positive experience for the children in our care and their families. This is a perfect role for a candidate who is excited to learn from an experienced guide and has the appetite to step into leadership. The Lead teacher has the potential to be trained as the AMI teacher in the near future.
Main responsibilities:• Support children’s learning with Montessori materials throughout the day
• Record observations of children’s activities throughout the day
• Build relationships with families by greeting them warmly at drop off or pick up
• Participate in parent/teacher conferences
• Prepare the environment including making, refreshing, arranging and stocking classroom materials and ensure all resources are maintained to a high standard;
• Collaborate with classroom staff and administration;
• Share observations and contribute to classroom staff meetings;
• Within collaboration of teaching members of staff in kindergarten to arrange learning activities both inside and outside classroom;
• Work with pupils and enhance their learning on daily basis;
• Be willing and able to follow and implement all pandemic health protocols.
Skills and Qualifications:• Minimum Bachelor Degree;
• At least 2 years Full-time Classroom teaching Experience in an international education sector with chilren between 3 - 6 years old
• Association Montessori International (AMI/AMS) Diploma for the 3-6 years old is a plus
• Strong sense of responsibility and Care for kids
• Be collaborative and actively work as a team
• Be committed to maintain and improving the high standards of teaching and learning
• CPR/First Aid Certification (or be willing to acquire)
