About this role
Thorpe Hesley Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed full time Teaching Assistant to join a friendly team at our outstanding school.
In this role, you will provide classroom support to our students, including children with additional needs in Key Stage 2. You will play a key role in creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where our youngest learners can develop their confidence, curiosity and independence, and where their emotional, social and academic development is carefully supported.
We are looking for someone who is creative, passionate and patient to join our committed and friendly team. Previous experience of working with children is required and you must hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). Applicants should also have a GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths, or equivalent. You need to be flexible, numerate, IT literate, punctual, reliable and be willing to undertake training as required. You will also be expected to provide basic first aid as part of the school day (full training will be provided).
