About Us: Newham College London, now merged with NewVIc Sixth Form College, is the largest post-16 education provider in Newham. The Role: We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Job Coach to support learners with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in achieving meaningful work-based learning and employment outcomes. Working closely with students, employers, families, and staff, you will coach and guide young people with SEND to develop the skills, confidence, and independence needed for the workplace. This role involves job matching, employer engagement, on-site support, and promoting inclusive employment practices across a range of settings. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored coaching and support to learners with SEND in their work placements. Collaborate with tutors, managers, employers, families, and external agencies to create a supportive work environment. Assist learners in building essential skills, such as time management, customer service, and catering. Conduct health and safety checks and create risk assessments for work placements. Develop and adapt employability plans to meet individual needs, promoting growth and independence.
