About this role
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced teacher to work with a flourishing multi-Academy Trust, renowned for its leadership development opportunities. The successful candidate will lead a class in our SEN Unit supporting children with significant special educational needs, mostly with a diagnosis of autistic spectrum disorder (ASD), and lead a team of LSAs.
Start date April or September
Main or Upper Pay Range, depending on experience and skills. The phase/year group’s additional responsibilities will depend on the interests and experience of the successful candidate.
Teaching and Learning Responsibility or SEN allowance will be considered for the right candidate
Requirements:
Full time availability
A creative and flexible practitioner A candidate that has high expectations of themselves and others, and is committed to maintaining our high standards
The ability to respond imaginatively to the challenges of curriculum delivery and development, within a dynamic SEN provision focused on meeting the individual needs of students
The ability to lead and direct a team of staff to ensure the needs of students are met effectively
Experience using or the willingness to learn to use the TEACCH approach, PECs and AAC, including Makaton
