Vacancy: Inclusion Lead with SEND

Contract: Fixed-Term Contract Maternity Cover

Grade: MPS + SEN Allowance

Hours: Mon- Fri - (FT) 32.5 hours per week 8:30am - 3:30pm with 30-minute unpaid break

Are you a highly motivated, talented, inspirational classroom practitioner with significant SEND/Inclusion experience? The role is based out of class and involves leading on achievement for children in vulnerable groups, including children with SEND. The role is supported by an SEN assistant. The role also includes a wider responsibility for developing teaching and learning throughout the school.

We are looking for a strong practitioner with experience of leading SEN provision with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to lead, motivate, inspire and support colleagues and who is passionate about raising standards and life chances for all children. The suitable candidate will have, be in the process of or willing to complete the National SENCO Award.

The successful candidate will work closely with Teachers and TAs ensuring optimum impact on achievement for all children, but particularly those in vulnerable groups across the school. This person will take responsibility for the raising of standards in SEND provision. The role will involve supporting the strategic planning for the school, with significant input / responsibility for areas of the School Development Plan and School Self Evaluation Form and then ensuring delivery of the objectives set. This will include (amongst other things): leading the school provision map; developing class profile of needs; the analysis of data; line management of Teaching Assistants; leading areas of performance management; assisting in the delivery of CPD; liaising with families.
