Alternative Provision and Inclusion Coordinator
Required for September 2026
Required for a September 2026 start, we are seeking to appoint an Inclusion and Alternative Provision Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for the organisation and co-ordination of alternative provision across the Academy, as well as supporting where required with the Academy’s attendance function.
This is an exciting and dynamic role, where every day is different. The role would suit an individual who has a positive attitude and the ability to embrace change. The role will involve working with stakeholders at all levels, including external alternative provision providers and agencies, completing quality assurance visits to ensure suitability and effectiveness of placements.
This is an evolving role and as the needs of the Academy and its students continues to grow and evolve, the responsibilities and scope of this role are likely to develop over time, so flexibility and a willingness to adapt will be key. The successful candidate will play an important role in the further development of alternative provision within the Academy.
The working pattern for this position is Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 4:00pm and Friday 8:00am – 3:30pm. You will be working school term time plus one week which equates to 39 working weeks per year.
We are looking for someone who:
Has a high level of IT competence, including the use of Microsoft programmes e.g. Word/Outlook/Excel
Has excellent written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail
Is positive and enthusiastic
Has strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Has strong organisational skills and is able to manage their own workload
Is able to relate well to young people
Is flexible in their approach to the requirements of the post
