The Role We are looking for a skilled and passionate teacher to deliver English Language and/or English Literature across Key Stage 4 (IGCSE) and Key Stage 5 (A Level). The successful candidate will inspire a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking, while supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes. You will be part of a collaborative department committed to high standards in teaching, learning, and assessment, alongside a strong pastoral ethos. Key Responsibilities * Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum, IGCSE and A Level specifications * Develop students’ skills in reading, writing, analysis, and communication * Use a range of assessment strategies to monitor progress and inform teaching * Differentiate effectively to meet the needs of all learners, including EAL students * Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning * Maintain high expectations of behaviour in line with school values * Support students’ academic and personal development within a strong pastoral framework * Engage positively with parents and the wider school community.
