Contract Opportunity: Freelance Hockey Coaching ServicesService Type: Independent Contractor / Freelance Visiting Sports Coach (VSC) Contract Rate: £24.80 per hour We are seeking a highly skilled, independent coaching professional to provide visiting hockey coaching services. The successful contractor will be engaged to deliver structured coaching programmes and elevate the athletic development of young people aged 11–18. Scope of ServicesThe contracted coach will be expected to deliver engaging, high-quality hockey sessions. Service provision requires: Independent delivery of structured coaching programmes across various age groups and abilities. Coaching encompassing the technical, tactical, and mental aspects of hockey. Application of modern coaching trends, including video analysis and constructive performance feedback. Safe management of pupils during all contracted coaching sessions. A collaborative approach to the delivery of school sport and fixtures within the independent sector. Contractor Expertise and ExperienceTo successfully fulfil this contract, the coaching professional must possess: Proven coaching experience within school, academy, county, or club environments. Strong knowledge of hockey techniques, tactics, training methodologies, and player development pathways. A clear understanding of physical literacy and athletic development. Awareness of safeguarding principles and best practice when working with young people. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Professional StandardsAs an independent contractor representing their own business services, the coach is expected to maintain: High standards of professional conduct. A positive, energetic approach with a passion for youth development. Strong pastoral awareness and flexibility in service delivery.
