Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)Location: Banks House School, 51 Wendene, Norwich, NR5 9HA (Note: May occasionally be required to work at other CASCADE sites with reasonable notice).
Salary: £25,500 - £30,250 (Depending on Experience, Qualifications, and Skill-set).
Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week (8 hours/day).
Reports to: Headteacher

The Role
The Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) is a pivotal role that supports class teachers to raise pupil learning and attainment. The HLTA works to promote pupils' independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion by providing support, both individually and in groups, to ensure all students can access the curriculum, participate in learning, and experience a sense of achievement. Core responsibilities include demonstrating an informed and efficient approach to teaching, leading and delivering learning activities (under supervision), and using effective behaviour management strategies. Furthermore, the HLTA contributes to assessment and planning by monitoring pupil progress, and they are expected to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents/carers, and external professionals.
