Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Reconnect Provision

The Role The postholder will play a key role within the Academy's Reconnect Provision, supporting students who are not yet secondary-ready due to significant gaps in literacy, numeracy, learning behaviours and wider curriculum knowledge. Working closely with the Reconnect Teacher, the HLTA will help students develop the skills, confidence and resilience required to successfully access mainstream secondary education. The HLTA will take responsibility for leading agreed teaching and intervention sessions independently when the Reconnect Teacher is delivering additional interventions elsewhere in school and will contribute to the planning, preparation, assessment and development of the Reconnect curriculum.
