“Ashton Community Science College is a Good School”. (Ofsted 2023) The Governors wish to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and well-qualified pastoral leader to support the progress and welfare of a cohort of students. Ashton Community Science College is an 11-16 mixed school with over 850 pupils on roll and was rated as Good by Ofsted in the last inspection in 2023. Our pastoral model is one where heads of year stay with their year group for a 4-year rolling cycle, from year 8 through to year 11. This vacancy arises due to the retirement of our current year 9 head of year, so the successful applicant would commence with year 10. Our goal is to offer outstanding provision. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, well qualified, pastoral member of staff, who is committed to raising standards and inspiring learners.
