Head of Music

Knutsford Academy are seeking a highly motivated, committed music teacher who is passionate about instilling a love for music across the whole school community. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic Performing Arts Faculty that encompasses Music, Drama, Dance and Musical Theatre. They will be committed to high quality music teaching and learning across the school in a department which constantly strives to provide musical experiences that are accessible, inspiring and exciting for all students. The successful candidate is likely to have been teaching for at least two years and to now be seeking a position which offers scope for personal development in a stimulating, intellectually challenging environment. An interest in developing instrumental ensembles and the ability to accompany students on the piano would be an advantage. Music is a popular choice at GCSE following the EDUQAS specification. There are many enrichment opportunities on offer, including a range of concerts in our own performance hall, musical theatre productions, participation in competitions at regional and national level and our very own annual Beswick Music festival.
