Purpose of the Role The Early Years Practitioner will support the delivery of high-quality care and education within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), working closely with teaching staff to provide a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment for children aged 2 to 4 years. The successful candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm, energy and a genuine commitment to nurturing young children in accordance with the school’s ethos and values. Key Responsibilities 1. Teaching and Learning Support the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences in line with the EYFS statutory framework. Assist in creating a stimulating classroom environment that promotes exploration and independence. Contribute to the observation, assessment and recording of children's progress. Support the smooth organisation and daily routines of nursery life. 2. Key Person Duties Act as Key Person for an allocated group of children. Build strong, positive and professional relationships with children and their parents/carers. Maintain accurate and high-quality learning journeys and development reports.
