We are currently seeking a Head of Maths to lead our Key Stage 3 & 4 Mathematics department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about mathematics and education, with no previous leadership experience required. Position: Head of Maths (Subject Leader) Department: Mathematics Education Stage: Secondary Curriculum: Key Stage 3 & 4 (GCSE) Role Overview: As Head of Maths, you will be responsible for leading the Key Stage 3 & 4 maths team, supporting colleagues in delivering engaging lessons that inspire students and promote strong mathematical understanding. You will play a key role in curriculum development, assessment planning, and ensuring high standards across the department. Skills and Qualifications: - A good standard of education; ideally qualified or working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. - Strong subject knowledge in mathematics at Key Stage 3 level. - Effective communication skills with students and colleagues. - Ability to motivate and support others within the team. - Organisational skills to manage curriculum planning and departmental tasks efficiently.
