Head of Assessment (Senior Leadership Team)

Egypt British International School (EBIS) is seeking to appoint an exceptional, forward-thinking and highly analytical Head of Assessment to join our Senior Leadership Team. This is a strategic whole-school leadership position responsible for leading assessment, data analysis, reporting, and student progress across the school. The successful candidate will work closely with senior and middle leaders to ensure that assessment is purposeful, reliable, and drives exceptional teaching and learning. We are looking for a leader who understands that assessment is not simply about collecting data, but about improving outcomes for every student. The successful candidate will combine strong educational expertise with outstanding analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to build staff confidence in the effective use of assessment. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Assessment will contribute fully to whole-school leadership, strategic planning, school improvement, and organisational development. Key Responsibilities Lead the strategic development of assessment across the school Develop, implement and evaluate the school's Assessment Policy Lead whole-school assessment, reporting and data analysis systems Oversee CAT4, GL Assessments and other external benchmark assessments Analyse whole-school performance data to identify trends and priorities Lead moderation and standardisation to ensure assessment reliability Line manage designated middle leaders and departments, providing strategic leadership, coaching, challenge and accountability. Develop leadership capacity across the school through effective line management, mentoring and professional development. Coach leaders and teachers in using assessment to improve learning Support curriculum leaders in evaluating student progress and attainment Lead whole-school reporting processes and quality assurance Provide detailed analysis for SLT, governors and accreditation visits Contribute to schoo
