Lead the Art and Design Technology department at Ernest Bevin Academy Ernest Bevin Academy is seeking an exceptional Head of Art and Design Technology to lead a key curriculum area and play a central role in shaping the school’s creative offer. About the role You will be responsible for the leadership and development of Art and Design Technology, ensuring high quality teaching and learning across all key stages. You will set the direction for the curriculum, lead staff development, and ensure students make strong and sustained progress. Key responsibilities include: Leading the strategic direction of the Art and Design Technology department Ensuring consistently high quality teaching and learning across all key stages Developing and refining a challenging and engaging curriculum Monitoring student progress and implementing effective intervention strategies Leading, supporting and developing teaching staff within the department Contributing to whole-school priorities and the wider life of the academy Person specification We are looking for a leader who: Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Has strong subject knowledge in Art and/or Design Technology Has a proven track record of effective teaching across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 desirable Can demonstrate impact in improving outcomes and raising expectations Has the ability to lead, motivate and develop staff Is highly organised with strong leadership and communication skills Is committed to high standards and student success About the school Ernest Bevin Academy is an ambitious and inclusive inner-London boys’ school with a strong focus on acade
