About this role
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your finance career within a successful and growing multi-academy trust.
Joining our Secondary Trust Finance Team, you will provide financial support across New Collaborative Learning Trust (NCLT), working closely with the Finance Manager and taking responsibility for a varied portfolio of finance activities. Alongside day-to-day financial administration, you will contribute to higher-level work, including the preparation of monthly management accounts, accruals, prepayments and journals, balance-sheet reconciliations, cashflow forecasting and monitoring grant income and expenditure.
You will also support supplier payment runs, sales and trip reconciliations, invoicing and other financial processes across our secondary schools. It is a role offering both responsibility and variety, with the opportunity to broaden your experience as your knowledge and confidence develop.
About you
You will have, or be working towards, a relevant finance qualification such as AAT Level 2, 3 or 4, together with a good understanding of financial controls and monthly financial administration. You will be comfortable working with income, expenditure and budgets, able to analyse financial information accurately and confident working independently to meet month-end deadlines.
Strong numeracy, organisation and attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to manage changing priorities and work collaboratively with colleagues across the Trust. Experience within a busy finance environment, knowledge of integrated accounting systems and an understanding of areas such as VAT and HMRC regulations would be advantageous.
In return, NCLT will support your continued development within finance, including funded professional development such as AAT qualifications and opportunities for your responsibilities to grow as you progress.
