About this role
The London Academy of Excellence Tottenham (LAET), an academic sixth form in the heart of Tottenham, is looking to appoint a new non-teaching Deputy Head of Year for a September 2026 start. Supported by Tottenham Hotspur and Highgate School, LAET benefits from ample resources to ensure that all students can overcome socio-economic barriers and flourish. This includes access to extra academic support, but also extends to the wellbeing and welfare of our students, the latter being central to this role.

It is an academically selective 16-19 free school harnessing the support of nine independent schools to offer unrivalled educational opportunities to the most ambitious and motivated 16-19 year olds from Haringey and beyond. The successful applicant will have exceptional subject knowledge and work within the English department to inspire aspirational and hard-working students, and support them to achieve outstanding outcomes.
The London Academy of Excellence would like to appoint a new Mental Health Lead, a pivotal role in our school. LAET’s leaders are deeply committed to student wellbeing and pastoral care, recognising the impact this has on the excellent outcomes of our students.
This role is suited to applicants with a background in counselling and safeguarding who are looking to support our aspirational and impressive students to meet their academic potential, ideally with experience in youth mental health services.
