Elementary Music Teacher

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and/or a degree focused on the arts Collaborating on curriculum, instruction, and assessment with colleagues Connecting positively with students and families Working with students with mild learning differences and English Language Learners Experience putting on concerts to showcase student learning (preferred) Experience with the Ontario Curriculum Standards (preferred) DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Actively supporting and promoting the school’s mission, vision, and values Developing and executing the preparation, planning, and delivery of lessons/unit plans for students Using a range and balance of teaching strategies Grouping strategies using a variety of different learning situations, including whole class, small group, partner work, and individual work Building on student capabilities and differentiating to meet student needs Ensuring that the classroom environment is well-managed and appropriately resourced Co
