Early Years Level 1 SEND Teaching Assistant

12 Month Fixed Term based on Funding – potential for extension of contractual terms. Hillcrest Academy are seeking to recruit two inspirational colleagues to the role of Early Years Level 1 SEND Teaching Assistant. This role is of great importance to our work as an Academy. The successful candidate will work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff to support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. Potential applicants have: Early Years Qualification Relevant Experience with children aged 5 and under Good numeracy/literacy skills. The ability to attend to the students’ personal needs, and implement related personal programmes, including social, health, physical, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters. Ability to support pupil’s needs and asses this effectively.
