Position: Early Years Homeroom Teacher (student between 3-6 years)
Qualification:
Bachelors or Master's degree in Early childhood Education or related field.
A minimum of 5 years in Early Years preferably within an IB school or similar inquiry based setting.
IB recognized teacher certificates or workshop (CAT 1) are highly desirable.
Montessori, Jolly Phonics or equivalent early literacy and numeracy training.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and implement a play-based, child-centred curriculum that promotes exploration, discovery, and critical thinking.
Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports the holistic growth of each child.
Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, maintaining regular communication and collaboration.
Assess and document student progress through observations, formative assessments, and personalized learning plans.
Integrate movement, creative arts, and hands-on activities into daily lessons to encourage active learning and development.
Ensure a seamless transition for students progressing from Early Years to Primary Years, building a solid foundation for future learning.
Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school’s vibrant community.
Skills Required: Strong understanding of child development, play-based learning methodologies, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, commitment to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. Fostering the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of students between 3 to 6 years.
