Director of Standards - Pastoral Team

We are seeking an exceptional, passionate and highly motivated Director of Standards – Pastoral Team to join our ambitious leadership team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced middle or senior leader who is committed to ensuring every student achieves their full potential through outstanding pastoral care, high expectations and a relentless focus on behaviour, attendance and personal development. The successful candidate will lead a team of Heads of Year and pastoral staff, driving the highest standards of behaviour, attendance, safeguarding and student wellbeing. They will play a pivotal role in creating a culture where every student feels safe, valued and inspired to succeed. As Director of Standards – Pastoral Team, you will: Lead and develop the school's pastoral team, providing strategic direction and day-to-day support. Promote exceptional standards of behaviour, conduct and attendance across the school. Monitor and analyse pastoral data to identify trends and implement effective interventions. Work closely with Heads of Year, safeguarding staff, SEND, inclusion and senior leaders to remove barriers to learning. Lead on student welfare, personal development and the implementation of the school's behaviour policy. Build strong relationships with parents, carers and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students. Support colleagues in developing consistent, restorative and inclusive approaches to behaviour management. Contribute to the strategic leadership of the school as part of the wider leadership team.
