In Toto Ed London is a registered Independent Special School with an Alternative Provision for post-16 students, supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and mental health (MH) needs. We provide a structured, supportive and nurturing environment where students are encouraged to build confidence, develop resilience and re-engage with learning.
We are looking for a committed and creative Design Technology Teacher with a focus on product design who is willing to go above and beyond to support students and contribute to a dynamic and growing school.
The Role
As a Design Technology Teacher, you will deliver engaging and practical lessons with a focus on product design, helping students develop creativity, problem-solving skills and confidence through hands-on learning.
You will play a key role in supporting students to access learning, develop independence and achieve positive outcomes, using practical and applied approaches to engage learners.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has strong subject knowledge in Design Technology, particularly product design
Is confident delivering practical, hands-on lessons
Believes every student can achieve with the right support and high expectations
Is confident working with students with SEN and mental health needs
Demonstrates resilience, adaptability and a positive attitude
Has strong communication and organisational skills
Is a team player who contributes positively to the school community
Is willing to get stuck in and go above and beyond for students
