COVER SUPERVISORS X 2 (26-14) TEMPORARY, 1 YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT Job Purpose: The Cover Assistant at Gateway Sixth Form College plays a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the college by supervising classes, across one or more department, during staff absences and providing support to the cover and curriculum teams. In addition to cover duties, the postholder will also be expected to work with small groups of vulnerable students, supporting their achievement and learner journey. The postholder will ensure students remain engaged in learning activities, maintain a positive learning environment, and support securing positive achievement outcomes whilst contributing to the overall effectiveness of the college. This opportunity offers a pathway to teaching, either to secure experience or to complete a formal teaching qualification, depending on experience and qualifications. Closing date: Monday 17th August 2026 Interview date: Wednesday 26th August 2026. Salary is between £22,600 - £27,784 per annum commensurate with Cover Leadership experience.
