The Post
The College is seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic, and motivated teacher to join the highly successful Performing Arts Department and Course Lead the A Level Dance course.
The post is available from 24 August 2026 to 31 August 2027 on a fixed-term, part-time basis (42.86%). The teaching post will be guaranteed for above dates. The Course Leadership will be on a Maternity Cover basis only.
The teaching for this post will take place predominantly on Mondays and Fridays during the academic year.
It is essential that applicants have experience of teaching A Level Dance and are confident in teaching contemporary and jazz styles. The ideal person would also be able to offer Rambert grades (or a willingness to qualify).
All new members of staff receive mentors to help them settle into the College. This post provides an exciting opportunity for those wishing to specialise in sixth form education.
The Department
The Department is housed in the purpose-built Dramatic Arts Centre. The complex includes a black-box studio theatre, dance studio, classroom and two rehearsal rooms. The Department also have access to the main College theatre.
The team consists of eight other members of teaching staff who work in a collaborative style, contributing to central teaching resources. The Department is also supported by two Technicians.
The Department puts on numerous shows and performances during the year including ‘Hot Feet’, the annual dance show. Therefore, some evening work to support these activities should be expected.
