Chemistry Technician

Clifton College is seeking a dedicated and well-organised individual to join our science team as a Chemistry Technician on a fixed-term contract until the end of March 2027. This role plays an essential part in supporting the smooth operation of both the Chemistry and Physics departments, working on a structured rota across both disciplines. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and clearing away equipment for class practicals and teacher demonstrations, maintaining a clean and safe learning environment, assisting with departmental administration, and supporting equipment maintenance and health and safety systems. This role is full-time, with a longer working week of 39 hours during term time and 30 hours during school holiday periods. There is work on a Saturday but this is covered on a rota basis with the other technicians, amounting to roughly 10 Saturdays in a year.
