About The Role - £37,728 The Sixth Form Careers Adviser will play a key role in supporting Telford 6th’s commitment to student success, employability, higher education (HE) progression and positive student outcomes. This is a proactive, target-focused role, with the postholder responsible for ensuring that careers activity contributes to the successful achievement of contractual key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance targets. As the new Sixth Form develops, the Careers Adviser will contribute to the strategic design and delivery of a comprehensive careers development programme that meets and exceeds the Gatsby Benchmarks and aligns with the College’s ambition to raise the aspirations, achievement and future opportunities of all students. The postholder will build positive and trusted relationships with students, providing engaging careers guidance, support programmes and outreach activities that encourage participation, build confidence and support personal development. They will work closely with students to help them identify and achieve their career and progression goals, while effectively monitoring engagement and outcomes to support positive destinations. A key aspect of the role will be developing strong partnerships between Telford 6th and a wide range of external organisations, including employers, universities, charities and other key stakeholders. Through these partnerships, the Careers Adviser will create meaningful opportunities for students to develop their employability skills, broaden their horizons and make informed decisions about their next steps. Key Responsibilities Support the successful delivery of the Sixth Form Careers Development strategy and contribute to its design and development. Maintain records and feedback for the programme to measure effectiveness of the programme and enable reflection and improvement year on year. Ensure Gatsby Requirements are met or exceeded, to include one-to-one personal guidance meetings for all Year
