Biology Technician

Would you like the opportunity to work as part of a team of highly experienced and ambitious colleagues? We wish to appoint a Biology graduate to join our small team of experienced technicians. You will require an excellent understanding of Science up to A level. Experience of working in a school laboratory or a similar environment would be desirable. To be successful, you will have: The ability to work methodically, paying particular attention to detail Good interpersonal skills in order to relate effectively to teaching staff and students The ability to support students and teachers in the preparation of practicals for Biology Written communication and numeracy skills Good ICT skills and a willingness to learn new packages An appreciation of the routines required for laboratory preparation and adherence to good practice The ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work Horticultural interest or experience would be an advantage. This is an event-linked maternity cover position starting at the beginning of September 2026. You will work term-time only (39 weeks). The salary quoted is based on working 36 hours per week (39 weeks). We would be happy to consider proposed part-time applicants for this role.
