Yewlands Academy are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Attendance and Welfare Officer to join our exceptional staff team. You will play a vital role in supporting pupils, families, and staff to overcome barriers to attendance and wellbeing.
In this role, you will:
· Work closely with the Attendance Lead and pastoral teams to identify and address barriers to attendance
· Conduct welfare checks, home visits and maintain accurate intervention records
· Chair attendance meetings and coordinate with external agencies
· Deliver and monitor intervention programmes and motivate pupils through assemblies, incentives, and workshops
· Counsel families and support curriculum work on attendance factors
· Engage with a wide range of CPD opportunities
