Job Title: Assistant Headteacher- SEND & Inclusion
Location: Longdon Hall School, Lichfield, Staffordshire, WS15 4PT
Hours: 37.5 per week | Monday to Friday | Tuesday- Thursday: 8:30am - 4pm, Monday: 8.30am - 4.30pm for CPD. Friday 8.30am- 3.45pm.
Salary: Up to £48,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: September 2026

We are seeking an Assistant Headteacher (SEND & Inclusion) to join our Senior Leadership Team and drive excellence in SEND, inclusion and personalised provision across the school. This is a pivotal role for a strategic, compassionate and highly skilled leader who can combine deep SEND expertise with a visible, hands‑on presence.
What You'll Do
Strategic Leadership
Drive whole‑school SEND and inclusion strategy alongside the Headteacher and SLT.
Lead the development of trauma‑informed, relational and inclusive systems across both sites.
Maintain a visible leadership presence, modelling outstanding inclusive practice and contributing to whole‑school improvement.
SEND, Inclusion & Personalised Provision
Oversee the quality, consistency and impact of SEND provision, ensuring all pupils’ needs are met.
Ensure EHCPs are fully implemented, monitored and reviewed, with provision aligned to individual needs.
Lead personalised pathways, interventions and support plans that improve engagement, progress and wellbeing.
