Assistant Headteacher - Behaviour and Raising Standards

We are looking for an Assistant Headteacher - Behaviour and Raising Standards who can be a key part in our ongoing improvement journey. Our school is a calm and orderly place. In the next stage of our journey, whilst maintaining our very high standards of behaviour, the focus will be on how we equip our students to be stronger learners and our pastoral teams will have a whole student focus on behaviour, attendance, learning and progress. In this role you will lead a large pastoral team alongside the Deputy Headteacher Pastoral. Your team will include year leaders (teaching) and year managers (non teaching), our attendance officers and our pastoral support officers. This is a large school and a large team is in place to ensure our students can be the best they can be in their behaviour, attendance, attitude to learning and progress. You will work as part of our Senior Leadership Team to support the school in all areas of leadership and be a key part of the strategic leadership of the school. We use our “live list” to manage our priorities, keep our strategic focus and plan for all the demands of a very busy school. As the largest school in Colchester we have exceptional facilities.
