About this role

The College is seeking an enthusiastic, highly organised, and committed teacher to work alongside the Head of Inclusion in leading and strengthening provision across the ALS Faculty. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting students with SEND across the College, as well as teaching students with complex and severe learning difficulties within the Pathways department. We foster a positive and collaborative environment where every student is valued, supported to overcome barriers, and empowered to achieve their potential and progress with confidence into their next steps. The successful candidate will act as a deputy to the Head of Inclusion, providing leadership and operational oversight in their absence and supporting with the day‑to‑day management of the ALS Faculty. You will manage the deployment of staff to cover Faculty absences, take ownership of the SEND register, assist with the coordination of staff timetabling, and manage EHCP applications. You will deliver high‑quality, quality‑first teaching in line with the duties and expectations of a standard scale teacher, meeting the needs of all learners. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and delivery of the curriculum in line with Awarding Organisation specifications, ensuring compliance and high standards in teaching and assessment. You will receive remission from teaching as part of this role. Loreto Sixth Form College has been awarded a second consecutive outstanding rating in all areas under the latest framework in our December 2022 inspection.
