As our Youth Mentor at Abbeyfield School, you'll build trusted relationships with students, families, pastoral teams and external agencies, supporting young people to overcome challenges, rediscover their confidence and believe in their potential. Through one-to-one mentoring, small group interventions and personalised support plans, you'll help students improve attendance, engagement, wellbeing and personal development, while developing the resilience, self-esteem and life skills they need to succeed. You'll work collaboratively to identify barriers to learning, connect students with the right support and create opportunities that enable them to thrive both in school and beyond. Our Ideal candidate will have: Strong communication and literacy skills: with English and Maths qualifications at GCSE Grade 3 (or equivalent) or above.
