Central England Academy Trust is delighted to welcome applications for the post of Wraparound care Teaching Assistant - Level 2 to start September 2026 at our brand-new Primary School. Watling Meadows Primary School is a new and growing school, with a strong focus on Early Years, inclusion and pupil wellbeing. The Role: To work under the direction of the Senior Leadership Team to support play and learning across Wrapround Care with our initial cohort of four year olds. The post holder will play a key role in supporting pupils’ play and wellbeing, contributing to a nurturing, inclusive and ambitious learning environment. As Watling Meadows is a growing school, this role offers a unique opportunity to be part of an expanding team, requiring a flexible, proactive and collaborative approach, with excellent scope for professional development and career progression. Key Responsibilities Supporting Pupils Provide creative play and appropriate activities for children including pupils with additional needs, enabling access to play and promoting independence. Support children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and individual Support Plans. Assist pupils in developing social, emotional, communication and self-care skills. Support pupils with personal care where required, in line with school policies and training. Promote positive behaviour and relationships, modelling high expectations at all times. Supporting Play Plan and resource creative and age-appropriate activities. Adapt resources and approaches to meet a range of children’s needs. Interact with and support pupils to access play based activities in a relaxing and comfortable environment. Use specialist strategies and interventions as directed by teachers or therapists. Supporting the Learning Environment Help to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
