The School of Health, Care & Childhood Studies is inviting applications from professionals with a background in Early years to support students through their work placement journey in becoming a professional in their field. As a Work Placement Visitor you will work together with the placement team, course leader, and teaching team to provide the best possible learning experiences, personal development opportunities and progression outcomes for all our learners in a culture of ambition, mutual support and respect. It is also essential that the person appointed is able to work effectively with all support functions across college.
The post-holder will need to be confident in making calls to employers to secure placements, holding employer meetings, visit settings and observe students in practice, going in to class to speak with students or meeting on a 1-2-1 basis, plan and deliver sessions on professionalism and work place expectations have attention to detail and quality and be comfortable working to set targets and deadlines. Experience of or the ability to relate to young people and deal with them appropriately is essential together with the willingness to undertake further training and development.
